75 g build

Hi all I started my 75 g build a few weeks ago and made some good progress on it . It’s a 75 g with a 30g sump and cor 20 return pump.

Wnat colour do U guys paint your backgrounds . On my tank right now it’s black but my fish darken up Quite a bit.

Hi Kfactor, generally blue or a light color. Nice clean setup. Did you design your own sump?

Yea I was thinking blue but would like to do a darker going to try and painting a few peices of old glass . Yea I made the sump it’s not done yet though

I would suggest not going too dark. Your discus might darken up to match the background.

Love the background! The whole set up looks great. I’m always impressed by these builds. I don’t understand them, but it looks like a labor of love and the finished product is always the envy of this “store bought” person! I’ll be following this thread to see what happens next.

Very nice setup. It looks like a build I would design. It reminds me of my (still empty) salt water 22g with 30g sump. I believe the background to be a little dark. I've always preferred lighter colors with my discus tanks but that is a very personal thing

115414 Just wanted to show u guys my sump still need to clean up a few wires and what not . It took me a bit to tune the over flow but now it runs pretty silent.
