Plant plants plants

I tried this once before a few years back but it kind of fizzled out failed as a thread.Maybe it will do better now in the age of smartphones.and digitals.

I thought it would be interesting to have a thread where people posted pics of their plants and identified them. Maybe even give a few details like temperature and pH etc. Lighting and ferts... or even just the pic and name. Can't tell you how many times I have spent way too much time scanning Google images trying to find the name of a plant I saw.

Any one up for it? just need to post pics and Id it..

Okay, let's get this started:

No ferts, CO2 or concern for aesthetics used in any tanks. I have a few other sword, java fern, anubias, bolbitis and floating plant varities, but none are in places that would allow for clear pictures.

Najas guadalupensis, "guppy grass."

Notes: sinks and grabs onto things with little roots.

Water: RO mix (no clue on pH, 40-150 ppm)

Notes: looks like it has a nitrogen deficiency, but maybe that's the appeal of it.

It really helps to see pics with names since starting my planted low tech, non fert, non discus, angel tank. Manzanita wood on the way, so good timing for me! Yippee!

Anyone else? There are definitely better plants/systems than my growout greenery.

Patty, make sure to include a big sword if it fits your scheme. It's spectacular watching them lay eggs on the leaves.

Oooh that would look fantastic-the plant and the eggs. I’ve been looking at my tank knowing it needs help. I ordered some wood and adding a big fat sword would really make it. Thanks for the perfect idea. You really know your stuff. I might ask you for a critique as I go along if you don’t mind.
