Hi all,
When you are with someone and you see them every day,
sometime it's a bit difficult to notice a slightest changes.
Say, your kids, your wife, your dog,,,,, your discus...
I have my first 8, 3+ months ago... one of them was golden yellow, or so the seller told me.
This is his/her photo taken yesterday.

and, this is the photo I found on my phone, the first few days that I got him/her.

Yes, s/he is the 3rd one from the left. S/he WAS golden yellow apparently.
(Granted, the white balance maybe a bit different between 2 photos.)
I just lol when I saw that photo.
My main feeding = Tetra Bits Complete 30%, Brine Shrimp 30%, Beef heart 20%, Krill 20%
Yup, there's a lot of red pigments in those food.
Maybe it's too late to do anything about it, and since I have 4 red CKBs and 2 red melons
in the same tank, I don't think I'm gonna change the food anyway.
Now, I'm just gonna try to see, how red can s/he get.
Who knows, maybe I'd be successfully raising something called "Golden melon"!?
