Milky eyes and deteriorating gill

Can someone tell me what this is? Two of my fish have milky eyes and are darker than usual. One has a deterioeating gill. They both eat

What is it and how is it treated?

The tank is barebottom ~120 gallon with 10 adult fish. Daily water changes of 30-50%.

When you say deteriorating gill, did you mean the fin, or you can actually see a problem on the gills?

OK, I think I see the white stuff you're talking about. I'm not a disease expert, so my answer is always more water changes, and maybe salt, but I'll try to bump this and get others to reply.

No nothing has been added Al. It started with milky eyes and some small white pimples on one of them. These last days I've noticed the white area on the gill pictured above, and it's growing. Easy to panic!

The other fish with cloudy eyes looked like this yesterday, but the white thing was gone today.

Al, I read your article on Hexamitiasis in which you mention that Metronidazol can be added to food. Do you recommend I try that?

Also notice the white upper lip in the first pictures. I believe it has not been fighting since it's pretty shy and by itself now.

Feces look normal.

I would try salt dips on these to see if it clears up. Metro wouldn't be much use for external pathogens here. Its a safe, non-toxic first line of attack for external parasites issues and often helps with bacterial ones as well.

i suggesting use methylen blu, clean tank, filters, remove carbon if you have then use methylen for 10 days
before you start make water change and clean a litlle filters
1 day 20ml/100L
3 day use 10ml/ 100L
7 day 5/100L
10 day change water clean filters
reduce food(2 times day, dont use meat only gran) and better effect when light is off
when you finish treatment use non ionized salt for 7 days 50g/100L and make daily water change 50% and give missing salt to tank :D

I see, Metro is only for internal pathogens. Al, what do you recommend if salt dip does not work?

What's your salt dip routine? 2 tbsp salt per gallon in a bucket with tank water? How many dips and should I wait until it rolls over?
