Hey guys my name is Sanjay. I got into Discus hobby over 2 years ago and ever since, hobby only kept growing bigger.

Here is my setup for 10g painted all sides, 100 watts heater and a sponge filter.

Of course ! shipping has to be messed up again.

Been calling my local ups office to keep checking on my package. USPS tracking still haven't shown that it last scanned in Utah yet. Shipping is never been easy for me lately.

Thanks Adam! but I did check with local usps and they said they already received all the live animal related packages arrived to their facility already. He asked me to keep tracking and reach out to one of the facility for a pick up(if it arrives to that unit, by end of today).

This morning I checked the tracking at 6:30am and it showed that arrived at my local USPS which opens at 8:30am
But I somehow managed to call them at 7:30am and was able to pick them up and got home around 8am.

They look great Sanjay, I am not quite brave enough to press a FDBW cube against the glass. Are you giving a full cube or cutting it?

I do keep an eye on them when they are eating. Fry look big enough to take those loose worms.

I used to stick a whole cube on the glass for my group or stick it in an upside down worm cone with no issues

Not necessarily stressed, it also depends on the tank they are in I feel. My previous tank (10g) has a lot of lighting and they barely showed bars in that tank. This 20g they are in now has very little light and occasionally 2 fishes show bars. I'll take some pictures later.

Their feedings and Water changes in order Beefheart mix,90%Water Change Prime Reef Flakes, FDBW, Beefheart mix,30% Water Change Tetra bits(not regularly) and FDBW.

Thank you Pices :) Wife does most of the hard work while I'm gone to work. (Water changes and most of the feedings). Yeah its very nice to see different shades of blue on them! Can't wait to see them in few more months.

I'm trying what I can, not skipping water changes atleast. She definitely spoiled them lol they look so starving by the time I get back from work. It's been crazy to maintain all my tanks and the house while she's gone.. It's not even a week since she left lol.

Bad news this morning I saw one of my fish lying flat I was worried and I’ve noticed the rest were looking dark as well. I’ve trearwd the tank with PP and added h2o2 after few mins to remove the pp. I had to step out of the house for the next 5hours got back home and he didnt make it.
One of the biggest in the batch close to 3.5”. I have to mention part of his tail rot as well so it lost a bit of its tail :(

Yes, a week back I’ve added 3 fish similar size(after quarantine) too reduce some time for the maintenance in my fish room
Same day the 3 fish were looking bad so I quickly removed them and treated tbem(they are all fine and in a separate tank now). These guys never showed any signs after a week they all turned darker (but eating) next
Morning I saw one lying flat I treated the tank (but couldn’t do a water change as I’m heading out) returned home and yeah saw him dead. I tested the tank with pp and big water change same tbing next day and now they are all back and doing great!

Sorry to hear this Sanjay :( and this right on the heels of Bill losing his largest to jumping out of the tank. :( Hope the test of them are doing ok.

Thank you Pat. It sucks to lose fish this way, but this was my fault. I’m hoping it’s not the biggest fish i see others pretty big size. I’ll try to measure my 8 fish tomorrow (I lost 1 on DOA)

Moring - Beefheart
noon - Prime reef flakes
around 4 - 5pm - Beefheart+Blackworm flakes.
9pm - FDBW

Hi Pat, thanks for checking. I got really busy with wife gone on vacation for 2 months and my work at office got crazier as we got acquired and currently not be companies are merging. Come back home and then have 12-14 tanks waiting for water changes daily .. lol also got babies growing from e different strains.

Sorry to say this, I’m stepping down from the competition. My work has been very crazy, been traveling to Boston very frequently for work purpose. I sold out most of grow out tanks.. Fish went to a good home. I sold them for $30 each(pretty good price I think) and the runt for free. I did keep 2 snakeskins to myself. Turq when I netted him out was looking massive and thick. I have 4 different strains that will be ready in March and currently have a batch from Wild and Curipera Cross. Haven't listed for sale yet but they are available.

Thank you for your idea of adding a blue light for light color discus! I had a pair of yellow discus that on there 2nd try fail cause fish didn't attach only 3. I added a blue light and Bam! I have 50 fry. Took mom out cause of eating fry and fighting...blue light on for 4 days straight! All attach! When some stray I just turn the blue light back on and Bam! Thank you

What kind of light did you use folks ? Just a regular blue LEDs or a UV blue tube ?
