Due to my little grandson s illness I have not had time for my fish so had to sale them all while ago .
After three years Vincent has a new kidney and he doing great much thanks to great doctors and staff at Toronto sick kids they were awesome .while he was sick we would let him watch video of aquarium with discus fish he enjoyed watching and they seemed to calm him .

So I am back in hobby
I am so excited to be setting up a new tank in few days and a order going in for discus within week .
I got invited to go in on a order from Discus paradise in Montreal with some friends and I am pretty excited .
Black worms are on way and I am thinking of feeding beef heart as will.

Great news about your grandson getting a new kidney, it restores faith when such a positive thing happens, can't immagine how overjoyed you and your family must feel.
Tell us a bit more about the discus project and most of all looking forward to seeing photos of your grandson with your new discus.

G'day melita. I am an RN in an ICU and know the stress of having critically ill loved ones, and seeing families decide to offer loved ones organs for donation. So happy for your grandson and your family. That is awesome news!!
Can you tell about your tank set up? What size discus are you planning to buy? Any particular strain that you fancy?
I trust you and Vincent will enjoy being face to face with some beautiful discus :)

Welcome back to the hobby! So happy for your Grandchild! I’ve been living with just one kidney for years just fine. Lots of us do as I’m sure you’re well aware. Hope he enjoys the new Discus! :)

Unfortunly my grand son lives. Quite a distance for me one reason I had to give up my discus because I had to travel
And was rarely home to care for them .
I do do lots of face time and he sees the discus that way.and when he visits .
My discus are ordered from discus paradise. 8 small discus .my tank is cycled. And ready .
I will remove the other fish and just leave discus in tank for now .
My blood worm order cam today Still not certain I will feed beef heart .
Discus paradise offers supliment pk if you want to make you own food and are to far away to order frozen so I may order that for later .
