It's been a long time, Eddie. I'm glad you are setting up Discus a tank in the living room. Please tell us more. Please document your project with pics. I love those threads.

Good to be back. It’s going to be a small set up, 75 gallon. All in the planning stages for now.

A 75 makes an excellent Discus tank. It's long enough for adults to swim back and forth. A 125 makes a nice display tank as well.

Keep us up with it from if being the idea to the finished thing. Do you know where you will buy your fish and what strain(s) you are considering.

Not too sure at the moment. I want to make it more of a biotope or natural set up. Although I知 leaning towards turqs. We値l see. Lol

Hey brother! I知 retired now, after 23 years. I retired out of Travis AFB and we are living in Vacaville California. We bought a super tiny house for unexplainable amount of money, lol. We are finally getting things together in the house and there is just something lacking, a fish tank.

I hated it when you moved over seas even though you bought some excellent quality fish there, I liked you here when you were here. I was new and you were much better at Discus than I did. Remember Joe? He's gone now, thank God.

Ah, I’ve never been better at Discus. I just had good stock available and I changed A LOT of water. ;)

I began my Air Guard life in your fair city. As all of us at did Lackland AFB. Nice to know there are a few of my military brothers enjoying an aquatic hobby.

Hey peewee1, I did basic at Amarillo AFB, TX. Jun-Jul 1968. During the 'Nam war the Air Force had two basic training bases.

Hi Eddie, big welcome back! You were missed by a lot of us here. I have a single tank of discus with 8 Flachens from Hans. If you like Turquoise, you can't beat them for gorgeous color! I have them in a 75, BB with wood and Anubias. Look forward to seeing you here as often as you can. I know where you live. I grew up in SF. We are a USAF family too.
