carol, this is not pointed at you!!! i had to vent this somewhere, i am astounded at this legal system in america. though not really an outspoken person concerning these things. i have had enough to make me really gag..
our supreme court has decided that "some" forms of child pornography are ok, virtual or whatever, it is still wrong.and yet within our rights. is this sign of things to come?
another court somewhere has decided that same sex marriages are due the same considerations as the age old tradition of marrying a woman!!! no offense intended to anyone, i am not a homophobe. to each his own, i guess. i read the bible, i believe.
now, if you want. you can go get put to sleep like an animal! yeah right, "hey, i am here to checkout" sorta like that show with "carousel" body reclamation.
if you want to drink and kill your liver, then get a car and drive, well, you get three chances. more if you have money!
 and these courts can't see it to really consider legalizing or decriminalizing  pot. for shame!!!!!
i would consider leaving the country, but the usa has pissed off everywhere else, and an american wouldn't be exactly safe as we know it.

lets see:       some child porn=ok
               same sex marriages=ok
                          drunk driving =ok, if you have money
       physician assisted suicide = ok
                                marijuana = not ok

Ethics, morality and the law...  Pretty tough topics to tackle on a discus forum.  Feel free to vent, though.  We're all friends here.

I'm pretty sure that the court was saying that as long as there were no children actually involved, they can pretend its children/underage people if they want.  I read the headlines and said, 'Whoa!'  But, as always, the press got out of control.

As for the rest of it...  Law and morality and ethics...  Many people, many opinions...

i know, pretty tough. virtual huh?
if you walk into a store with a "fake gun", it's meaning is understood. you intend on doing wrong. or have at least conveyed you want it believed you will do wrong.
sharing, possessing, whatever, child porn is wrong. so why would it be okay to use a fake child! the intent is there!  
ok, i am going to move my computer where i can't hear the tv
