Hi all,
This was brought up in chat the other night, and I thought I'd start a thread on it. How about posting a pic here of who you are, so that we can all associate a name with a face. Many of us have pics in the members Biographies section, but theres a lot more of us now! :) And some of the photos were lost during the last software update.

We did this on another forum a while back and it was real fun.
Don't be shy, lets add some faces to those names...

This should also help for when any of us are meetings, as we will be able to figure out who the heck everyone is.

Hi April. That fish is a spanish mackerel, or stripey as they are also called. He's about a 19lb (8.5kg) fish. We hed several good meals from him.

I caught him in a local river! Honest! He's a regular brown mud crab. Once cooked his shell turns red. Oh and the females are protected. This pic is proof that he is a big male!

I assume you mean my right ear. It's hard to tell, looks like a Gold Diamond but there are a few that you could be referring to, none seem to be any closer to my ear then the others, at least not in that one group of about 6 fish. There are a couple of Canary Yellows in there as well as a Cobalt & a couple of Gold Diamonds.

Well I dug up the archives and found a few.
One on the job last year, ....don't worry Milwaukee folks, the Hoan bridge is safe. I did field measurements and fabricating all the replacement steel for the Hoan bridge repair last year. It was very interesting, got to go up in the lifts well over 100ft up and walk the concrete support structures to get measurements.

I would like to post a picture of me, but I have not a digital camera yet, I hope I can buy one at the end of the year, I liked Al's camera, the Nikon 4500 (Am I right Al ?)

In advance I can say that I still have hair, but it is beginning to turn white ::) I guess that it is due to I'm new to Discus, LOL

That's a nice big tank behind you guys. Acrylic or glass..doesn't look like it has a frame, but it looks like glass.

Its a 6x2x2 glass tank. Supposed to be a planted tank.
Tried keeping discus in it but they fall sick within a week now its housing angels, denisonii, kribs.....etc.

Waow, Things do have changed, The last I saw there were some africans chiclids, that was ofcourse 15-16 years ago, There used to be a shop on ooterry near the binny mills, I was friends with him, his name was mohan It was a lot of fun during school days, I kept most of my fish in cement tanks at the back of my house. Now I am here in the US, currently keep exclusively just DISCUS and breed them as they decide to. How is the water situation, My parents are still in T.Nagar and they mentioned some water restrictions, which would just make discus keeping impossible there Do you face the same problem?

OK here I go. Just got the new Camera today (Cannon S30) and I definitely need some education. I know for a fact this thing can do much more than I am capable. Help! :o I've got ick but note the red eyes..... Not just for fish obviously!!!
At least that's what I saw on the pic download, who knows what it'll look like when I attach it...

Will post fish pics when I figure this thing out.

I keep Discus and lot of other cichlids too. The water problem is quite bad during the summer months here.

Hi everyone!!! I am sorta new to this site and seemed to be more of a lurker as I try to learn from others while searching the net for answers. I am addicted to Discus and enjoy them a lot. but if you think Discus are pricey, try racing. 32 years of a costly hobby!!! ;D, but I love it too....I live just in Metro Atlanta on the north side and race at Lanier Speedway on Sat. nights. I think my next car will have a discus on the side as a sponsor :D. Great site and thanks to all for their sage advice.

Just wanted to post a note... several people have been questioning all the doubles in this thread :) If you notice, a lot of people have the same picture in their post. For example, Chuck and Limige are the same person.. That's because for some reason both of their pictures had the same name (me.jpg) and instead of getting an error that the filename already existed, the board allowed the previous file to be replaced. So, every time someone tries to post a file called me.jpg it will show up in all of their messages.

The way around that? Well, I guess you guys need to change the names of your pictures and re-post them.. lol..

He was gonna come to Leeds to see the castle(Leeds Castle is in Kent at the other end of the country not anywhere near me hahaha) Then I flew to Turkey while Kag was jetsetting round Europe. He was gonna try and get down to Fethyie but it never happened. Last I heard he was in Belgium, think he's back home now, but very busy.
