Since clubphoto no longer allows photos to be linked from their site unless you pay for it I was looking for another free site to host members photos and one that will allow you to link them to this site with an image tag.... ( see this link for info on how this is done...http://forum.simplydiscus.com//index.php?board=11;action=display;threadid=1430)

Found one... http://www.snapfish.com

why use this ? well if you take a digital image and the res is too high (greater than 75kb), you'd have to resize and edit it to post it here from your hard drive. If you upload the pic though to an album at snapfish, they resize it for you... This pic was 1.98 Mb...they resized it to 63.2kb

Hth those of you that don't have image editting software....

aha, you knew what i was looking for didn't you. i did really like clubphoto, i was used to it. give me a little and i will get some of these pics posted. it also gives me reason to take more. i have the most chronologically intense photo collection. probably every other opening of the gills on some. don't know why i save so many. i have about 950 meg on one drive, i want to cull through them and burn a cd for the future.
thx al, cg

www.imagestation.com offers free picture hosting.

Just a note, after uploading the picture, if you look at the properties of the picture, it will end in .jpg.orig.jpg.. simply remove the .orig.jpg part, and you'll be able to link the pictures on here.

otherwise the users on here will just see an image that says "hosted by imagestation"

There is always www.photobucket.com. You can simply start an account (for free), upload as many photos as you'd like to, resize them through the site, and even set up a wide variety of slide shows.
