Okay Dan,

here ones for you....

http://a7.cpimg.com/image/FF/21/9595647-291b-02000182-.jpg

Everglade Rat snake, length 48 inches, natural history... ist a color morph/strain/subspecies of a common north American contrictor... The Rat snake. It is very fond of rodents and birds and is a very good climber. It is also an excellent pet and has been breed extensively in many coklor morphs including albino.

I have 4 Rat snakes, different species and 1 california King snake. I use this reptiles and other to teach children about nature, and parents about their unfounded phobias.

I'll dig up some more pics soon for you. But I think JOhn is right, so lets move this over to the "talking to me section". I think you got my attention ;)

heres a few other for you...

Hey Al,

I don't remember seeing the turtles! I had a red eared slider for 19 years. My mom gave him to the son of a lady she works with who collects turtles about a year ago and I hear he's still kicking!

I bought 2 of them in 1982 and one died in a week. The other one...

Little sucker used to bite like you would not believe!

I always loved turtles!

Hi John, the box turtles name was speedy. I rescued him from rte6 in cape code, he'd been hit by a car but recovered fine.(yes I stop traffic to save reptiles)

As punishment for not looking both ways before crossing, Speedy did jail time in a 5th grade class room , and in my workshops . I released him this past year after 4 yrs. I miss that turtle alot.

Brewmaster,
You should come visit our Saint Louis Zoo. You would love the collection in our Herp here. Our previous Director, Charlie Hoessle was always first and foremost a snake lover so the collection has been fantastic for years.
