Is there a general medication(s) on the market that one should have available always for discus? It would be easier to get it now rather than trying to find it when you really need it and can't.

:bounce: :bounce: Besides aquariumsalt (kosher, rock), which should always be on hand, I rely on a product by Fishvet, www.fishvet.com. This has been a saving for me, useful for flukes, some bacteria, etc, read 'bout it. I'll always have it for emergencies.. JMO Dottie ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I have become a huge fan of Melafix by aquarium pharmaceuticals. I work for the Saint Louis Zoo (not in any animal dept but the marketing dept) but our Aquarist here swears by it. Its fantastic for scrapes, cuts, etc. The best thing is it does not affect your biological filter at all. Its worth it to check it out
