Pretty shot - a halo of fry encircling the parent. Erect fins - happy daddy.

This particular pair has very unique behavior. One fish spends most of the time fanning the eggs and wrigglers. The other fish does all the feeding for the free swimming frys (so I removed the first fish). Sometimes, both will split up the frys equally and retreat to their corner of the tank. So each time, they keep me guessing. I just took the frys off the parent this evening and moved 100+ into a 15 gallon tank of their own.

Here's my biggest problem. Both fish look absolutely identical -- color, shape and size. I've raised them from babies for 2 years and still can't tell them apart. Once the tube recedes, I can't tell one from the other. :P

You can see them Sunday, DJ. They'll be ready to go around the end of January.
