Having enough problems with my Red Snakeskin pair but now what do I suck up off the bottom of my other tank (pair of Tangerine Dreams) but a 1 inch long white slimy stringy feces. Cleary I will watch for more of the same but are there any steps to take in the mean time?
Thanks

Hi Tin. I've been into discus for the last six months now (so I've just started) Had the same problem. After I started doing wc everyday ( 20%) and adding salt ( 2 t/s per 100 lt) it all cleared up.

TinPusher,
right now I would follow lion's advise. I would also increase the temp a few degree's and observe their appitites.

If all else fails metro will be your key choice in meds.

Ok thanks.
How long before I consider Metro? Is there a side affect? From what I have read if you catch it early adding Metro to the water will likely work. Whereas later on it has to be force fed by a syringe :-[. My fish are already barely eating so adding it to food will not likely work.
Thanks again
PS another White string found this morning

lion is 2 t/s tablespoons or teaspoons? I would assume tablespoons but want to make sure.

tablespoons. Do 1 tbs. per 10 gallons to start with, and then maybe go to 2 tbs. per 10 gallons after a while. The salt helps relieve stress.
