This weekend was the Ohio Cichlid Association Extravaganza. I had a great time there. Met many cichlid breeders and some well known cichlid people such as Ingel Siedel, and Rusty Wessel. They gfave great talks. There was a huge cichlid show. Best of Show went to Ron Gorgeone with his Madagascan Paratroplus Menerambo Pinstripe, and he won reserve of show with a Geophagus Altifrons. He had incredible fish. He's going to give me tips in the future to be better at shows. I was able to take second place in the discus catergory with my scorpion ss. I also took second place with my Koi Angel. I was able to meet Jim and Diane aka Hunterbeaver. They are great people to talk with. The show overall was the best so far, and hope that it would be bigger next year. :) I have some pictures from the show

Congratulations on your wins! Thanks for the pictures. Did you know the people who took first and third in discus? Did JIm and Diane enter any fish?

Joe kaminowski took first and 3rd with two of his red turks. Jim and Diane did not enter any fish. They just stopped by to see how the show was. And to chat. :)

Congrats bruce, looks like you had a great time. All those big centrals and everything aren't my kinda fish, but you have to appreciate their size........talk to ya soon.

Congrats Bruce: Im so glad you fish did so well. WTG. It was very nice meeting you. I enjoyed talking with ya. Maybe next show we will have some of our fish in and see how they do. Take Care. ;D

lol, thanks all. Theres still lots of learning to do if I'm going to suceed. I'm taking first next year ;)

Bruce,

That argentea is great. They are AWESOME fish - some of my favorites. I haven't owned one in years now, but if I were going to get a non-discus fish, I would go for one of them!

Yes Darkdiscus, it is a great fish. Somone offered me 125 bucks for that argentea, but its such a pet, i couldn't let it go. :)
