Anyone care to guess the sex of these two fish...

I've had them about 6 months....the blue turq i think i bought at the end of june....he or she has grown really nice for me it's about a good 5 1/2 " and the snake it just a little bigger....

Let me know what you think..

Hey Sly.... doing the angle measure from the fin to the tail, I would say the brown/red snake is male and the blue turq is questionable, but I would lean towards female...

Regardless of sex though, they are very beautiful!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm, well thanks for your guess'. The only action in that tank is alot of fighting....I have some mean fish in there....lol

snake has a cute face..its a girl.
turq looks a little butch - the KD Lang type. ;). could be either.LOL

lol, you guys are hilarious.

you know, i've heard so many different things

1 someone said look at the hieght of the fin from the body on the top fin

2 look at the fish head on and judge how thick the fish is between the two bottom fins

3 the geometry method, angle on the top and bottom fins proportional to the tail fin

4 it has a cute face must be a female
