Getting ready to travel to the parents house for the holidays? Will be in Tampa, Port Charlotte, and Naples. Does anybody have a favorite LFS or local hobbiest I can visit?
I hear a lot of people talking about Florida as the place to get wilds...so maybe that would be something to look into.
Chavez, approx 4hours from tampa if you are in the miami area its nice places , wattleys/gabe, and a few distributors of wilds. email me if u come down this far i can lead u, have fun :D
Like Ldav said if you want wilds, you will need to come down to Miami. But that does not mean there isn't some interesting things in the Tampa area. I don't know anything about the LFS in that area. But the Tampa area is loaded with Florida fish farms.
Take a look at this web page to get sme ideas. Click on travels and then click on Tampa. http://www.characin.com/home.html
Also home to Florida Tropical Fish Farmers Association - quantities of those hard to get meds and good prices on tanks too.

There is a guy that has some interesting fish if your looking for tank mates for you discus. Several different flavors of apistos, along with rams and killis. He is just on the other far side of Tamp, probably 15 minutes from there. I picked up about a dozen fish from him to see about putting them into a community tank.
If your intersted just drop me some email or IM me and Ill forward you his information on.
Peace,
Roger
