Of course Weezy likes the frog.! Heck she has them all over her house. (Quite the collector, that Weezy... lol...but so am I :-X)

I personally like the pelican. We get a few hundred of them each year on the lake behind our house. A beautiful sight to see when they all come and go. I have never seen one up close tho.

You are a great Photographer Brew. I just wish I had the same talent.

Julz... practice!!! My first bird photography trip took me to a week in the Everglades of florida, followed by a week in coastal texas. I had the enthusiasm, I had the film, I had plenty to take pictures of, and I took over 100 rolls of slide film!Thats 3600 pics.

... I also had a shakey hand, no experience, the wrong equipment, the wrongs speeds of film, and plenty of bad photos! I actually kept about 100 pics from that trip...not because they wer great, but just to document birds and wildlife.

I still have a long way to go, but I throw out far less than I use to. Theres a saying... Film is cheap.. photo opportunities are rare!

The secret is sleep... I don't do much of it ! ;D,
and for the time being I have day job, but I may soon have much more time on my hands than I need for my current hobbies... I may need to either start sleeping or get another hobby.... maybe I'll tackle automotive engineering... I always wanted to build a hybrid car!

LOL, actually theres a ton of things I would love to do ihn my short time here...I'll never get to them all..But I'll die trying :)

This time of the year always reminds me of the everglades. I usually go down to florida at this time and take my pics..miss it alot. I haven't been in 2 years :'(.....

...when I am there .... this is where you'll find me....

Standing in the middle of that cool fresh water. Thats not a trail I standing in...well... not a human a trail. Its a gator trail thru the saw grass!

You might also find me here... The pinelands of the glades. These areas are excellent places to look for frogs, reptiles, and the florida panther. Unfortunately theres not much left of them. :'(

You might also find me here... wading thru a subtropical rainforest ;) This is actually the inside of a Hammock. Hammocks are small Islands of raised vegetation in the open wetland of the glades. I have spent days going thru them, and have seen so much beauty. this is home to water moccassins, tree frogs, and owls. Bromeliads and air plants about, and orchids ...some very rare can be found only here.
