Need to spend gift cards at Borders and too many options...

Any other suggestions for under $50?

Waynes Guide is a nice picture book. The print in it is very small.

You left out what I think are the two best books: Jack Watley's Discus for the Perfectionist and Penang Discus. You can get the first book off of e-bay cheap and the second from Belowwater.com

Sorry...I didn't see it was for borders. Those other two are great books though.

penang discus rocks. been learning quite a lot from it recently. it has good information on everything, including stuff not so commonly mentioned (i think) such as what to look for when choosing a new fish.

Brian, Jim's Success book is definately the best bet of that bunch! Frank ;)

I have all the books except Jim Q. The one I like the best is Waynes.

Success With Discus - Volume I is an excellent book that is very easy to understand and relate to. I am just starting Penang Discus and although I have not read much the reviews that I have read about it on Simply and other forums have been very good.
I still maintain the best source for a wealth of information is right here on Simply. Many thanks to all who contribute to this excellent forum and to all the adminstrators for there dedicated work.

if you can't get Yeng's book go with Jim's or the Dick Au one, those two are the best all-round discus books

Jeep ask Borders if they can order it for you. Just watch what they want to charge you. I woulnd't pay more than $55.00 for it but I have seen it for more than that $65.00.
