and just before xmas,i recieved another,of a similar nature. This time from someone who supposably works at Eccobank in africa. offering to unload 35 million.
It all sounds great. The scam is that they get you to send them money to cover expenses until funds can be sent to you in your country.

also.............
AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS BEWARE!!!
there are a couple of sites that do photo competitions.you submit a photo.they email you to tell you you are a finalist. then they tell tell you your pic will be in a book. you send payment. and YEP.YOU GUESSED IT. kiss your money goodbye.
www.picture.com is one of these sites. I know this because it happened to my daughter.

So please be aware that the net is a fabulous thing, but unfortunately, there are preditors out to con you any way they can.

Dear Smokey Urban,

I am Pascal Bangura, the first child of late Chief
Engr.Edward Bangura a native of Mende District in the
northern province of Sierra-Leone. I got your
contact from an international data base in my desprate
search for a help.I am writing you in confidence to
seek your assistance to transfer our cash of Twelve
Million United State Dollars($12,000,000.00) now in a
security fiduciary to your private account pending our

SOURCE OF THE FUND
My late father was working with ministry of works and
housing before he was appointed the General Manager of
Sierra-Leone Mining corporation (S.L.M.C).He made the
money partly from his savings and some miscellaneous
income from mining activities and Over-draft from the
sales of Gold and Diamond.

Before the civil war between the rebel forces of Major
Paul Koromah and the government of Sierra-Leone, that
almost destroyed my country, following the forceful
removal of the democratically elected President Ahmed
Tejan Kabbah by the rebels, my father had already made
arrangement for my mother, my younger brother and
sister and myself to be evacuated to Abidjan, Cote d`
Ivoire with our personal effects.

Following the indiscriminate looting of private and
government properties by the rebel forces, the
Sierra-Leone Mining Corporation was one of the targets
looted and destroyed. My father and some other top
government functionaries were attacked and killed by
the rebels because of their loyalty to the President.

The death of my father and caused my mother heart
failure and other cardiac related complications
of which she later died in hospital after we had spent
a lot of money. Now, my younger brother, sister and
myself are in this strange country without any family
relation. Our only hope now lies on you.To this effect,
I humbly solicit for your assistance in the following
ways :

1. To present yourself as my father's foriegn partner
and co-beneficiary ;

2.To transfer this money to your country and make a
good arrangement for a joint business investment on
our behalf with you acting as the overseer ;

3. To secure a college for my younger ones
and myself in your country for us to further our
education.

4. And to make arrangements for us to travel with you
to your country after you have transferred this fund.

All necessary documents issued to my late father at
the time of deposit are in our custody. For your

money. Please feel free to get in touch with us for
further explanation.

Please respond quickly to enable us schedule an
