Could someone please point out some differences between these two strains? Post pics if possible? I want to get some pretty solid reds and not sure which strain to look at.

Hi,
I have asked the same question back in Taipei. Here are the answers I got: San Merah is the decendent of wild browns that are specially red. And red doll belongs to PB. Most of them have specks and peppers on them if the water condition is not right. The solid red discus are very popular in asia.

Oh forgot to mention:
SM-san Marah with black bars
SSM-super san marah with no bar at all just like blue diamond
