Temp: 84
PH: 6.0 to 6.5
Light: 20W flourescent
Gravel: 1/4" size gravel, 1 1/4" high
Setup: 11 months old

Fish:
4 Pigeon Blood - Mike Wells (about 5 months old)
2 Blue Diamond - Mike Wells (about 5 months old)
8 Rummy Nose Tetra
1 Lemon Tetra
1 Pleco
1 Zebra Pleco (Good for nothing, designer pleco)
2 Golden Snail
2 Angel Fish

Plants:
Amazon Swords
Bannana Plant
Mondo Grass

From the Semi-Dark side. Seeking a balance between the health of the Discus, green plants with gravel, and ease of cleaning. Still more work compare to bare-bottom. No breeding allowed. They shall breed in BB tanks. Grow out tank is also BB.

Probably! You always see angels in planted tanks in magazines and books... but I brought some swords home once and planted them in a tank full of angel growouts, and they pruned them down to little nubs!

Johnny Boy - Started 11 months ago. My "wify" would not let me keep discus unless there are plants and gravel in the tank. Before then, I inherited a 7 gal gold fish tank from my sister who move from Boston to Washington. Since wify is able to enjoy the fish and tank, she lets me setup two bare bottom tanks for breeding and growout.

Beautiful pictures Chaos!!! My angelfish ate my swords to stubs too!!!! I don't have the plants anymore!!!!
