Hi everyone was wondering if anyone uses this product. I got 5 lbs of it for $26 and thought it would be cheaper then what I'm using now. If you do use it how much do you add to say 10 gals of water? Thanks all :)

I've used Chloram-X for the past couple of months. I'm very pleased with it. I got the 5 pound box and it should last a very long time. The directions say to use a teaspoon per 40 gallons (for 1 mg/l of Ammonia, which is what mine is according to the city water people), so a 1/4 teaspoon should be about right for 10 gallons. The kind people at Jehmco I bought it from said you can use up to 4x the recommended dosage without problems. The stuffs so cheap, I don't worry about overdosing, and I've never noticed any problems in my fish. That is, unless I forget to add the Chloram-X. I have had whole batches of discus fry under 1" die when I've forgotten to use it, but when I remember to use it, they thrive! So that tells me it works well. God, how I wish for good water so I wouldn't have to remember if I've added Chloram-X or not!
Unless I find something better or way cheaper, I'll never use anything else again. And that comes after using Amquel, Prime, and Fritz. You can actually get it a little cheaper at Aquatic Eco Systems.
Don't hesitate to ask any other questions about my experience with it.
