I have a brown discus I bought in 1996 at 2.5" in size. It's survived a few power outtages since that time and is still doing fine. ;D

The oldest discus I have ever had was a red turquoise. I euthanized the fish at 12 years old. It was off the food and had lost alot of body mass. i raised this one from the fry stage so it was very disheartening.
My current oldest discus are a male and female Angel diamond from Wayne's Discus. They are about 8 1/2 + years old. They were breeding up til 6 years old at the rate of about 35 fry in the last spwn. I left the fry in with the parents for quite awhile as they did not bother them with any consequence.
Ten from the last spawn about were bought by Willieabout 2 years ago. With his expert care, they grew out to be fantastic fish and good parents to boot! 8) Joe
