500w 27.95
800w 34.95

i'll try them when i get the cash....does anybody else have experience with these? they seem to be a cheap price for the high watt titanium heaters!

Limige I thought about getting them also. But the thought of that stainless steel in the tank without any protection around it to keep my Discus from bumping into it and getting burnt kept me away. Also look they are not UL listed so I won't get them just from a saftey factor.
Hello Limige, I am trying a stainless steel one right now I was going to try the Titanium but I happened to pick a company that I won't be returning to >:( So far I like the stainless steel one . It keeps the Temp right where I want it. And The controler is out side of the tank :). The stainless steel is less expensive then titanium you can't use in salt water tanks. It cost me right around 30.00 /300W but the controler is attached/ including SH. Brand name Via Aqua

Hey Debo, I don't think there are any rules on the forum against posting your experiences (positive or not) with a company. So why not share with us what happened to you?
BTW, thanks for the info Limige :)
I have some of the Jalli titaniums. 200w & 300w.
The 300w has the controller separate from the plug. The 200w controller is part of the plug and takes up too much room on the power bar!
I just let them sit on the tank floor below the outflow from power filter. This circulates the heat pretty well.
I have not had any problems with fish getting burned or stuck or scraped by them. I think this is because they are on the tank floor. When fish freak and dart about they rarely surf along the tank floor...its always darting up and trying to get behind things.
I have had these heaters for about 6 months, so far I like them.

i bought one of the via aqua 300w titanium heaters and it really put out alot of heat and kept the water right at the temp i wanted, but last week it just stopped working. so for those of you looking for a more reliable heater than the ebo's, the jury is still out. i hope mine was a rare case but remember that the titaniums are not UL listed and i am not sure of the regulations regarding safety in the country they are produced in

Just for the record, UL is a third party laboratory that tests products for a fee. Manufacturers submit their products to UL for testing and pay for the right to list UL Approved on their products which pass UL standards. How stringent are these standards? I don't know.
I don't have enough experience with the titaniums to judge how good they are. The lack of UL listing, however, does not necessarily mean that the product is substandard. It doesn't mean they're any good either, of course. It could simply mean that a new product has not yet been submitted for UL for testing.

Limige,
I have two 800 w Jalli heaters one was DOA, but other than that all has worked great. I use them to heat my storage water. So far so good. ;)

limige,
I recommend to go with the titanium heaters. In my experienced the titanium heater works better for me. Last month I purchased 4 heaters from Petwarehouse at 300w each; 2 titaniums and 2 stainless steel heaters just so I can test what I should invested on down the road.
I placed each of the heater in each of my breeder tanks. The titanium heaters work great, but one of the stainless steel heater stop working after two weeks and the temp. droped down to 60 degree overnight and nearly kill ones of my favorite pair. I have returned the stainless steel to petwharehouse with a complain but after two weeks I have not receive a replacement. But, luckly I have extra heater at home.
Good luck on your decision.

I have not tried that particualr brand of titanium heaters, but i must say that i love the titanium heaters! Only due to the fact that you can't break them like a glass one, and they heat up much faster and to me they seem more reliable. I have had mine goin on 5 month's now, and not one problem!
I have switched over to the titanium a few months ago. I have had 1 failure but it was DOA. Once set in the tank they work perfect and hold the temp real well. They also hold 93.5 right on the dime! The ones I use are Via Aqua.
I order them through Jeff at www.discusfarm.us.

I have the via aqua stainless 300W, works fantastically but boy they run hot! I'd hate to think how hot a 800W would be but I'd have to say hot enough to burn any unweary discus that is brushing by it!

My Uncle spent over twenty years with Underwriters Laboratories and had the highest regard for the companys work. Though they are independent, they do work with our government by contract. Anyone try one of the WON brothers titanium heaters? They take up room on the bar since the temp adjust is the male plug, but I am looking into those "strip" type bars that fortunoff has on their displays. Get a long one and hook that to breaker, then buy a few of the thingies that is a "3 prong to 2-prong" adaptor, that is about 3/4" thick. Good Idea?

I ordered my titanium heaters from wcaquatics.com - you can also call and place the order. They can be a little slow on the internet orders and if you call you can also find out whats in stock. If you order over the net give them a buzz after a few days to make sure they got everything.
I just ordered another batch from them and its mixed titanium and stainless steel. I dont think there is a difference in them, they are all via-aqua brand with just a different tube on them.
But so far the titanium ones have been rock solid and the temps have been very steady.

well, right now i have one titanium, it's a won proheat 250 watt. it seems good but yes it takes up alot of plug room and its too easy to bump the temp.
the jallis have a better price for high watts, i need a heater for my 190 that i plan to put in my wet/dry filter. i think the 800 watt will be a good try, only $10 more than a 300watt plus they goto 93 degrees!
thanks for the replies, keep them coming!
