other similar looking cichlids

here is a pic of my severums 1 male and 1 female...
these are the closest things that resemble a severum to me that i own...Just thought i would share these pics with you guys... I am interesting in getting some discus however... but i gotta get a new tank for them first off....I wish I could have every cichlid there is... O well discus are still one of the top cichlids to me anyways

Have you seen or owned Uaru? They are close, maybe closer than severums.

yes i have seen them as well probally why they are called the "poor man discus" for a common name

Oh yeah Pierre how is that Severum that I gave you doing now..has it become more active and not and come out of hiding?
I believe it was a female has it grown enough to completely confirm that?
