R.O. unit question.

I know a guy who has an R.O. unit which has been sitting dormant for about a year. My question is, will the membranes still be good after all this time? And how much would it cost to replace them if not? It's a kent maxima 60 gpd with 3 membrane compartments and another one on top (d.i.?) Thnaks!

In answer to your question,
The membrane is ruined as soon as it dries out, The prefilters may or may not still be good but I'd replace them as they are very cheap and may have grown a good coat of bacteria before they dried out too. The components might have survived if they were refrigerated but I would'nt risk it.
