Do you add salt in at all when you do water change ? Just curious.

I used my aged water from the 55-gal barrel w/ heater and air.

The only time I add salt to WC water is if I am treating the fish for a problem of some kind or for a while when they are in quarantine (or stressed for any reason). I've heard both sides recommended, some say salt all the time is bad, others say that some salt all the time is good.
It's a good question. Given the choice, I usually go for not adding anything unless I am sure it's needed.

I do daily w/c and do not add any salt to the tanks. IMHO, salt is good as a medication only and is otherwise not ideal for fish.

Hope this is what you were looking for!

I do daily 25%ers and am blessed with awesome water quality, but I've never added salt unless my fish were sick either - I'm a pretty new discus keeper, but have used salt as a mecication in cichlid tanks for a while. And even before I do treat any fish w/salt, I try to up water changes for at least a couple days. I then salt and last resort move to a QT.
