Hey guys

How did you guys stop from going insane to wait for your first discus? I have to wait till may 15 to get mine. But the guy im dealing with is a super discus breeder and I know im getting good discus.

Well the cure...

Don't look at other people discus.

Don't read through the post on this forum.

Don't do research for discus food.

Don't look for discus stuff on the web.

Don't go to local fish store.

Don't look through the want ad for used tanks.

Don't think of vacation around breeder area to pick up fish.

Don't plan weekend roadtrip to pick up fish.

Don't ask visiting friends and family to bring fish when you come to visit.

Don't think about ways to make more money to afford more fish.


Oppss...actually all of those thing got me in the position I am in now. On second thought I am the worst person to ask right now.

LOL I'm in the exact same position!! Cary and Joe are coming here in early April. My tank is 85 degrees, completely cycled, just waiting......I'm gonna get off the computer right now because I can't stand it!!!

These are my first discus and I feel like a little kid on Christmas eve!

I already am. I stay awake till 12 some times thinking about them. And my teachers in scool are getting mad at me for drawing fish tanks in my scribbler. lol im hooked

Hah, I got some new Discus yesterday, and right now i'm at school and can't wait to go home and see how they are doing :)

I'm going insane here :)

ROTFLMAO Be patient!!! (me too) remember these three things:

glass feeding trough.

water changes either 90% weekly or 20% daily.

They will "warm" to you but it may take a few days.

I would spend the time finding as much good information on discus as i could. The better prepared you the greater your sucess will be.
