members??

How is membership awarded? I have seen variety of memberships ranging from Global moderator to new member and was wondering who assigns these and why? Do members have to do something to change thier statis and if so what is it?
If anyone knows or can tell where to direct me to the place where these questions might be answered I sure would appricate the heads up.

Hi Michael,

Global Moderators and Moderators are selected by the board admin. They are assigned certain sections of the board to manage posts, help answer questions, and "keep the peace" so to speak.

New Member, Jr. Member, Full Member, and Senior Member are all based on the number of posts a person has and these are automatically assigned by the board. They do not serve as a reference as to how knowledgable or experienced someone is, they simply indicate how many posts a member has made. The membership status numbers are as follows:

New Member: 1 - 24 posts
Junior Member: 25 - 74 posts
Full Member: 75 - 199 posts
Senior Member: 200 - 499 posts
Discus Enthusiast: 500+ posts
