What size meat grinder would be the best for making your own beefheart???
I have a chance to buy two --One of them is a size 8 and the other is size 10.

Depends how big your feet are....if you've got larger than size 8 feet, the size 8 meat grinder won't do you much good...
sorry :) I'm guessing i'll be the only one that thought that was funny... ;D
If they're both similar other than the fact that one is bigger, I would buy the bigger one-you'll be done faster if it grinds up more meat at a time... ;)

I think the 8 and 10 is the blade size .How fine do you have to get the beefheart. Do you run it through more than once to get it finer?
I've got an old-style handcrank meat grinder....I run it through once, and then I mix the other ingredients together with the heart...Then I run it through the food processor to get it finer and to mix the extra ingredients more thoroughly....If I didn't have the food processor, I'd imagine I would just run it through the grinder a second(and third if necessary)time to get the right consistency...
might be better, then, to buy the 8, so you can grind it finer...
