It ought to be obvious which came first - the chicken. The chicken was the idea not the egg, so the chicken had to come first. ;) ;D

By Aquadis. Breeders who hope to create new strains or new variety of similar strains will have to experiment with crossings of several strains. Most breeders will not reveal their line of breeding. However for the benefit of discus lovers and hobbyists who are interested in breeding we will share with fellow discus lovers our lineage in breeding for

Actually, the chicken was a by-product of the egg. ;)

God created the chicken not the egg. or if you dont belive in God maybe a organism was evolving and thought it would be good to develop a crispy shell arould itself so it couldnt run away from predators. ;D ;D ;D ;D

No body knows. That's the answer I got from a big breeders who has over 300 breeding tanks in his farm. He crosses with anything available in his farm to create new color and shape. Select what looks good and colorful and use them as a breeder for the next generation to keep up with the new strain which can sell a lot higher than the fixed strain. His goal is to create a discus that no body has and the Japanese will pay high dollars to buy them. I asked him the origin of each fish. He just look and me and smile. " No body knows. You just tell the Japanese and Germany buyers what they want to hear. He ask them to guess and their answer is the best answer and praise them how knowledgeable they are in discus." It's impossible to keep the heritage link of discus cause they are not pure bred in the wild to begin with. Whoever can keep track of where they came from is just pulling your leg. Breeders buy fish from unknown origin and crosses with their own fish and claimed their creation. Buyers keep crossing them with other fish and so on and so on.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? The egg, of course. And if the egg came first then who hatches the egg? They are artificialy reared by Jack Wattley obviously. And fed discus slime! Kaceyo
