some people do crazy things...i found this picture on another site and just had to show everyone

a local here has raised ray's for quite some time. i spoke with him on the issue of keeping them with discus.

his opinion is don't do it.
he says rays are very active and like to swim up and down the sides of the tanks as shown in the pic. they would stress the discus out.

they are also very costly to feed, more so than discus.
he feeds his large rays shrimp, cod and worms.
he says they'll eat 100-200 crawlers in a feeding :o

i may get a tank of them in the distant future but they won't be with my discus.
