I have heard of this term but i am not quite sure what it is. wat do you do it for and how do you do it? Let me know.

This is when you have a rogue fish who acts up a lot. You put it into a fish bowl, and take it on any large "Metro"politan subway. If its anything like Toronto's this should scare your fish straight in no time! ;D ;D

Sorry, couldn't help myself. ;D It's actually short for Metronidazole. It acts by inhibiting most flagellate species but does not get rid of them completely, they are eliminated by the immune system of the fish. The treatment is 500 mg of Metro per 100 Litres of water, but this changes from person to person as you can see from Discus_nw's link. Apparently (I just found this out when looking up the dosage in a book) there have been some cases of adverse reaction to this medication, where all of the fish in the tank have died, so beware.
