Question: How often do you clean your hydrosponges and how? They can get quite dirty

You can rinse them out in a bucket of used tank water. I have a well, therefore no chlorine in my water, so just rinse them under the faucet in warm water. Chlorine or chloramine will kill the good bacteria, so you can't do this with city water.

It depends on how many fish in the tank and what you are feeding. When you can see gunk sticking to them, rinse. It may be once a week or once a month. If I have fry and am feed bbs I may rinse everyday . . .
