FYI,
Little known fact you can get a permit to import PERSONAL pets. It costs 25 dollars and is very easy to get (mail in a form and wait a few weeks). As long as you are importing one or two shipments a year and you arent selling the anything for atleast a year after import you should be fine. I also find this very useful if you wish to travel> All you gotta do is show the permit and they let you carry the fish on the plane as carry on. (generaly i dont have problems but all it takes is one idiot and then you are stuck.) I hope this is useful. It is form # 3-200-46
