how come my discus is so colorful at such a small size 1 1/5 " is this a problem?

They look like the color has been enhanced. Small discus usually do not have so much uniform color, especially around the "chest" area. I think this is a case of hormone treatment because the color is so bright and the complete.

From what I have read true colors come out at about 3.5-4.5 inches, This discus does look to be enhanced, from what I also read here and elsewhere its best to feed more then avg. now to build them up; seeing how the hormones are used not only for color but also in a poor feeding enviroment. I agree with Willie. They look nice if you feed well and water change 25% min daily they should turn-out
nice. But question the seller and if you want exchange, at least he knows you know and will be watching him. A snake does not like to be watched!
