View Full Version : Light at the end of the tunnel.
Light at the end of the tunnel. Another reason to keep discus for all my life. Life really sucks. I had some smart people clean out my bank account within a week with fraudulent checks. An inside job from the bank. Virus collapsed all my e-mails and disable my computer. My stupid Cat was playing with the strap of my digital camera, accidentally put his paw through the loop and was chased around the house by the angry camera and broke it. Now, another round of SARS put me in Work Quarantine once again. I have to wear a 95N mask when I leave the hospital. Have to use my own transportation without stopping to go home. Isolate myself in my fish room without sharing with my spouse and children. That's tolerable!. Can't eat with them. Can't take a shower. That's really sucks. I'll PP myself to keep clean. I've lost a month income already with the last round of SARS. Things are slowly picking up and I'm fully book this week. This morning I was told to cancel all my patients for at least 10 days. That really really sucks. Luckily, I have a brood of SS fry start eating BBS. I can feed them every hour and start experimenting on new meds. and food on some fish and have all the time in the world to observe their behavior. Otherwise, I really don't know what to do with no computer, no communication, completely isolate from the rest of world or risk finger pointing by the City if I happen to be one of the carrier of SARS. Thanks for listening.
Jimmy.

Damn...that's terrible. Especially the wife & kids bit. Not seeing patients seems like a nice idea, but I guess I'd miss 'em too after a while. I'm not a big religious guy. That being said, you're in my prayers.

Good reason to have no money left in your bank account i guess..

Hi Jimmy, sorry to hear all that has happened. Sometimes it seems like the bad times will never end. They will, eventually! It seems that bad thing always happen to good people. I want to thank you, in the midst of all of these problems (which I didn't know about), you have continued to support and help me with my fish and drip system problems, even made me a very very kind and generous offer! :) :) Thank you!
If I can help you in any way, just say it. I have a spare computer sitting here, I could drop it in your driveway? I can't visit because of SARS, but will drop it off with a coffee on top! Then at least you can communicate with us here at Simply.
Seriously, let me know if there is anything, and if it helps, I have a good ear and like reading long emails :)

Jimmy,
No worries, we will get a group of us together and take a trip to the Amazon with Oliver. ;D And catch our own Curiperas, and Novo Olinda and maybe even a rare tropical diseased to boot. We will cure our pirana bites with polysporon, and elastoplast. After we ceremoneously peal the leaches off of eachother, we can bond with the local pygmies, and sing songs by the campfire. We will pass out, from too much 1948 Armangac, and Oliver can ship us back to Canada, in a styrofoam container 8)
Pondering future vacations always make me feel better ::)
Best Wishes,
Michael

Bank account raided, enforced vacation, quarantined at home and no computer . . . it can only get better now. I hope you at least get a computer soon :-\
Thank you all for your kind words. I managed to get the computer working again after completely formatted the hard drive. I just have Windows XP installed and nothing else in it. The bank had given me back some money. Now I really know how to steal a million dollars easily from the bank. Those arms hold up in stores are silly. They only get a few dollars. Those smart fellows had a copy of anyone's signiture. ordered checks from the bank on-line through their account and write whatever they want. Checks as large as $9900 . as long as under 10,000, went thorugh wihtout any questions from the bank. All they have to do is hold it for 5 business days. I had one as late as last week for $6000 dollars after I've closed the account and the bank called me for a bounced check. I thought they could catch him. But no. They cannot start investigating right away. They have to request a copy of the fraudulent check from the head office storage center. That's takes a week. Then I have to sign a swore affidavit with my lawyer to proof I didn't write that check. Each checks is individual case. Submit to the home branch and sit there until the daily pick up after 4:30pm. The head office will sort out where the affidavit should go. The department will assign an investigator. First thing they check is the police record. If i didn't file a report to the poice. they'll ask me to do it in the next few days. The whole process takes about 3 weeks before they actually start investigating. The targeted account usually have a large amount of money in the bank and the bank don't usually ask questions. After 5 days. He transferred and doposit the money to someone else's account and wait for 5 days and write another cheque from that account to another unknow person's account. It can be yours. If he is greedy, he can clean out that account on top of the money he'd deposited earlier without you noticing and start a whole new round of transferring every 5 days. By the time they reach the finaly account. That will be his own account. He will empty the account and leave the county. He is long gone by time the investigators finally reach the last account with months of stupid procedures and signed affidavits. All I need now is to find a girlfriend who's working in the call-in center and have access in all accounts. Get the electronic signitures and order checks from different accounts. Write all the checks and clean out several accounts. Become wealthy without working one minute in my life.
Jimmy.
