Hello again,

I'm hoping this hasn't been asked yet...

What's the normal growth rate of a discus per month if you start with
1"discus?

thanks again!

I'm used to oscars which grow at least an inch per month till they get to 6-7"at which time they slow their growth rate!
I was thinking if you feed 4-5x per day, they'd grow at least an inch a month...

Some discus will grow an inch a month with optimum care, feeding and water. I was giving your more of an average.

My discus have grown about a 1/2 an inch to a full inch a month for a couple out of the 8 i have. Oscars are basically "floating stomachs" , and we'll grow rapidly because of that.. I love the little piggies though there great fish (OScars) Discus grow well in great water conditions and if fed well like Carol said.... but I think their stomach isn't very large. Its good to feed them often throughout the day good portions but only as much as they'll eat in about 5mins. :sun:

Yahoo , its a great day!!
