How old is your oldest discus?!?!

Hi everyone,

Well, my tank is now BB, and I'm patiently making the long wait till some discus become available; in the meantime, I thought I'd ask more questions....

I'm curious as to what is the lifespan of discus??? How old is your oldest discus, how large is he/she, what type, and what setup is he living in? The more detail the better...including pics! :cool:

i have a red royal blue,tangerine reds(2), and a red spotted green, all are 5 years old. i use bb tanks and penguin bio filters.

Looks like i'm in the same boat as you Neo, so much to read, makes it a little overwhelming.
So i'd say my discus are about -1 years old at the moment

i met a breeder that said he had discus that lived to 12 years of age! so it seems once you get them you are into discus for the long haul!
