Current: How much is not much?

I have a aquaclear 300 on a 40 gal = 7 times turnover per hour and seems fine. so yours is fine too imo

I am turning my water over 4 times an hour and the Discus are happy.

I am turning my water over in my tank approx. 9x per hour. I aim the outgoing flow against the glass so as to try to play down some of the flow going across the tank. It seems to work well.
