hi,

just wonder whether anybody has experienced this and could give me some advise

i had just set up 4 new tank and position them facing opposite to my existing tank. they are 1.5meter apart. i had then remove 1 pair out from the tank and keep them into new tank. but this pair has since then stop eating, always wonder at the front glass and seems looking for their pals ;D ;D.

my question is does positioning of discus tank facing each other advisable? could this cause unnecessary distubance especially to the breeding pair? ???

thanks

I bet it's probably an unnecessary disruption. I would put the tanks at a 90* angle to eachother rather than parallel. Most breeding pairs need as little disturbance as possible anyway. Give it a try and see what happens.

thanks for the reply.

i have moved back this pair to the community tank where they came from. this is a young pair, female had laid egg once but male seems not mature enough yet. they now active again. think i just have to be patience.......will reposition next month.
