Hey there guys,

I have looked on the internet and in books, but I haven't come across a source that tells me what to do if one of the above (Ammonia, Nitrite or Nitrate) are to high.

So, please list what I should do for each one.

Thanks heaps,
Chris

Water changes are best for all.
Rinse the filter sponge with used aquarium water so as not to disturb the good bacteria that process those things.

Adding salt at 1 to 2 tblsp/10 gal will also help with nitrite.

Ardan is correct. Just keep changing water - even 3 or 4 times a day to keep ammonia and nitrIte levels at zero.

Was your filter cycled prior to adding fish? If yes, it should pick back up in a short time. If not cycled just keep up with the water changes and it will eventually cycle in 4 - 6 weeks.

You need to state which reading is high.

Nitrate= change your war war.

Nh3n= fish over-load maybe

nitrite=could also be overload.
