i know runts are just smaller right and won't grow to the normal sized discus, but is it possible for a runt to breed and what would the offspring look like, would they be runts or normal?

yes runts can breed

but unless you know the full history of a 'runt', you do not know whether it is runted because of bad genes or because of less than ideal conditions while it was growing up

if unknown or bad genes...probly shouldnt waste time breeding

if less than ideal conditions during growout are the cause...you can try breeding...its possible the babies will grow out just fine

IMO anyway :-)

A lot of runts have physical deformities. If they are culled, most of them will die before they reach maturity. Note that some fish are naturally smaller than others. These are not necessarily runts -- just small fish.
