I am currently comtemplating 2 new projects. The first will be a rack. I am thinking of contacting the shop I had build the stand for the 90, and have a rack made of iron. The drawback is that the stand under the 90 is heavier than the tank is! Imagine 3 tiered racks!? I think the best thing to do will be wood, but i'm still gonna look into the metal ones.
After I get that all straight, i'll be getting a central air system set up to run all my sponges. The space I have is a 12 foot run of wall space. i want to make it 30 inches from front to back so I can make the middle tier all 29's placed end out, 3 90's on the bottom, and some smaller tanks (20 highs) on the top. I thought about central filtration, but I have seen far to many widespread disease issues with them. It's worth it to do the extra work to avoid things like that. I'm not sure that the space from the floor to the ceiling is going to allow for 3 tiers though. i need to crunch some numbers!

Two tiers is good. The top tier is for storage and bio-filters.
Spread the tanks out. not up. MPO/E.

Space is always a concern. So , what does a person do ??
