Question for those of you that have planted discus tanks.

For those of you that have planted dicus tanks. When I had a planted tank about a year ago with just rainbow fish I was injecting C02. in order for my PH to stay above 7.0 the PH of the water that I used for water changes had to be around 7.8 otherwise the PH would go too low. So the problem here is if you have to do a major water change you run into to much PH swing during your water change. Is there another way to remedy this?

One thing you can do is reduce the injection rate thus the ph will not decrease as much. Another is less volume of water changes and more often.
