Hey can someone tell me how to grow java moss on driftwood.

I haven't tried with java moss but with other plants I buy a nylon jewelry line that is similar to fishing line but more flexible and easier to tie. I wrap it around the plant and driftwood. Once the roots have established on the wood I remove the line.

You can also use an elastic rubber band for a couple of weeks.

Brown Cotton Thread works best for me. You can use fishing line too, but I like the thread better.

I like thread too. It eventualy will decompose. By that time your plants will have taken hold.

I have java moss growing on my driftwood and all i did was push it on there, lol, i guess theres always different tecniques!!

Make sure your thread doesn't bleed. I do alot of sewing and certain colors will bleed. I dont' know if the dye would be bad for discus, or the other fish for that matter, but test the thread first.
