My fishes are extremely afraid of light.

They look healthy with the light off.

What should I do?

Maybe your lights are too bright? You could leave the lights on 24/7 and see if they get used to it.

Is the blue light musch more better for the discus?

I use GE Aqua Rays fresh and salt water bulbs. I prefer a white light rather than blue

Interesting.....my discus go hide if the lights have been on more than 14 hours so 24 hours would drive them nuts...
but both downstairs tanks happen to be across from windows so they get the daylight 'glare' I guess...and are skiddish during the day only (due to it I assume)...been about 7 mos. in the locations and not improving much..feel sorry for them - any chance they will get used to it eventually?
(no direct sun of course). Just wondering.

I can not understand why anyone would leave lights on 24/7 unless they have a pair with eggs .
Even then I would only keep a small night light on for them so they could watch there eggs.
I think lights on 24/7 is unnatural for the fish just as it would be for you or any other animal.
I also have a tank with 7 discus in it that are jumpy .I have tried moving the tank and many other thing but it did not make any difference..
Just my opinion

Ken, I have been to your place ... MPO - your water is tooooo clean and clear. Through some peat moss into the water, to tone it down.
