I have 4 red turqs in my 200 liter tank, could I put in any red cherry shrimp without them getting eaten????????????

I am not familiar with that type of shrimp but I would guess not. Discus love shrimp, to eat that is.

i'm not familiar with that type of shrimp either but i'm going to second Debbie's answer on this one.

i used to keep ghost shrimp with my discus but over the course of a year most of them did seem to disappear. lots of plant cover and hiding places will help them last longer.

I had 2 amano shrimp and 1 ghsot shrimp in my 75 gallon planted discus tank. I do not know what happened to the amano shrimp, probably were eaten, but the ghost shrimp is pregnate and took over a little cave and calls it home, lol.

my ghost shrimp would often carry eggs but i never saw an young ones. hope you'll keep me updated on how you make out with them Abercrombie6202.

i have 18 japonica shrimps in my 60G w/ the discus and they are doing fine ;D

I just got a couple of algea eating shrimp today. They will be in quarantine for the next 8 weeks, but I'll let you know if they dissapear.

OOPS NVM, lol i foudn 1 amano shrimp a week ago. I guess he's getting that ghost shrimp pregnate!! LOL

I've got 2 singapore, 12 amano and 12 red crystal shrimp in a planted tank with 3 discus. The singapores can defend themselves and are out all the time, but the amanos and crystal are now pretty much nocturnal. I see them running around, and the discus don't appear to be too interested, although I keep the discus fed 4-5 times a day...
