What is the Scoop on Tubifex Worms?

Is it accurate to call them "Typhoid Worms" as they are usually collected in polluted waters?

Not 100% sure, nor have I delved deep into the research of the lifecycle of tubifex worms, however wherever I have read about tubifex it has always been negative feedback on them.

If I were you it's just not worth the risk...
